Celebrating Dr. Seuss!

Boy did we have fun celebrating FOUR kindergarten birthdays last week! We had extra recess, dance parties, and even a breakfast picnic. I know that it's tough to not send extra treats to school for your child - but I appreciate your support in how we've been celebrating! The kids have had lots of fun - and on the way out the door on Friday I was asked "Who's birthday do we get to celebrate on Monday?" Ha!! We'll wait until March for our next surprise celebration!

This week we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday, which is officially Saturday, March 2nd. Here's how you can help your child participate:

Monday
Fox in Socks
Wear your crazy socks!

Tuesday
There's a Wocket in My Pocket
How many pockets can you wear to school? We'll have some math fun figuring it out!

Wednesday
Wacky Wednesday
Dress as wacky as you can!

Thursday
Green Eggs and Ham
Wear GREEN! We'll have some special food today... can you guess what it is? (Anyone want to help with cooking supplies? Please let me know!)

Friday = Read Across America Day
The Cat in the Hat
Wear lots of stripes today!

We will also have our 1st annual Health Fair on Friday! The kids will get to visit lots of community helpers that will talk to us about making healthy choices! We'll be participating in the afternoon.

Stay tuned for pictures of our fun!
